Are you Spanish or of Spanish origin? Are you in the San Francisco Bay? Are you looking for people to share experiences and tips, and make friends?

The Spanish Union of California was formed by people like you, who one day arrived in this new country without much information, with a lot of problems to solve and very few friends to ask, yearning at every moment for the ease with which we we communicated in our land.

Settling down, organizing domestic life and seeking new relationships can often be difficult even after several years living in the US. For this reason, since 1923 the Spanish Union of California has been receiving compatriots, generation after generation, it feels very proud to do so, and for this reason in our founding regulations, receiving new members is the main reason for the entity's existence.

And it is the Spanish Union of California. They are its partners, neither more nor less. “No more”, because it does not have sponsorship or external funding, public or private, of any kind; “no less”, because only in this way is it possible to fully put into practice the spirit of welcome and help that inspired its founding and that the current members want to maintain.

The Spanish Union of California aspires to be the common home of the Spanish in the Bay Area, and any effort towards that goal is welcome, wherever it comes from. If you feel part of it, if you have an idea you want to share, if you want to work to help others, come to our headquarters, the doors of the Spanish Union of California will always be open to people like you.

Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Unión Española de California. At the present time, we are accepting applications from Spaniards and direct descendants of Spaniards. We are actively looking on the by-laws governing our club to also accept non-Spaniards.
